What a gorgeous night! It is now about 8:15 pm and it still says 68 degrees on my computer's thermometer. Is it really March??
Tonight I met Jesse on the track for a session of 5 x 800 with decreasing rest and 3 x 200 at the end, each progressively faster. Plus, I had a chance to try out my new racing flats AND a pair of my new Oiselle shorts.
Here's how it went...
2 mile warm-up
5 x 800:
2:48.7 ~ 2:30 rest
2:49.9 ~ 2:00 rest
2:46.8 ~ 1:30 rest
2:47.6 ~ 1:30 rest
2:45.7 ~ 1:30 rest
3 x 200:
36.7 ~ 1:00 rest
35.10 ~ 1:00 rest
33.5
DONE!
2 mile cool down
Jesse wanted us to hit the 800's between 2:50 and 2:55. The first one was a little under that pace so we just rolled with it.
Overall, I felt great, the shoes were good, and I think I'm ready to race on Sunday. First one in a long time!
Off to read a little bit and then...lights out.
Have a great night!

wow, that looks like a challenging, yet comfortable workout. You're rounding into great shape, what do you think you can run in a 5k? sub 18:45?!?
