Sunday Speedwork

Coach Jesse and I met this morning for our weekly speed workout at Moravian.  As last week, we were focusing on maintaining paces that were close to my 1,500 meter goal.  Since this race is a tad less than two weeks away {my gosh...it crept up on me} we did another tried and true miler's workout.

Here's what we did:

3 x 600; 3 x 400; 3 x 200 - each interval got progressively faster in each set.

1.5 mile warm-up

600: 2:03.9 (5:09 1500 pace) ~ 2:30 rest
600: 2:00.1 (5:00.3 1500 pace) ~ 2:30 rest
600: 1:57.1 (4:52.7 1500 pace) ~ 2:30 rest
400: 76.6 (4:47.2 1500 pace) ~ 1:30 rest
400: 74.8 (4:40.5 1500 pace) ~ 1:30 rest
400: 74.8 (4:40.5 1500 pace) ~ 1:30 rest

200: 36.3 ~ 1:00 rest
200: 35.1 ~ 1:00 rest
200: 34.1

DONE!

1 mile cool down  {Jesse had to get back to meet some athletes}

Overall, it was a good workout.   I felt decent, the weather was better than yesterday, and the best thing?  Now I can relax!

Have a great Sunday!
